Buyers Q & A
Q. Is all your produce certified organic?
A. We are an online farmers’ market made up of a variety of sellers practicing a variety of production methods. Cow-op vets producers at the time of application to ensure a certain level of sustainability but we do not act as a certifying body and encourage buyers to read up on each seller’s bio and contact the seller directly if there are any questions about their production methods. Any certified organic growers are labelled as such on their listings. Under new provincial regulations, all other sellers are prohibited from using the term “organic” to describe their food or practices, unless they are certified.
Q. What happens if something in my order is damaged and can’t be consumed?
A. Our Market Manager and pick-up day team will inspect and pack all orders prior to pick up or bike delivery. In the event that anything gets damaged, we will refund that portion to the customer, provided that that unacceptable goods are reported upon pick up or delivery. More info here.
Q. I have a discount code for my first order. How do I redeem this discount?
A. Enter the discount code into the box provided with your order, and your discount will automatically be applied to your first order.
Q. What happens if I can’t pick up my order?
A. The Cow-op will donate your item(s) to the local Food Bank or Soup Kitchen if you forget to pick up your order.
Q. Is Bicycle Delivery available in Victoria?
A. Bicycle Delivery is only available in Duncan within a set distance from our depot. Please see the map and more info on Bicycle Delivery.
